Abstract
Over 70 contributors, mainly from Romania, but also from France, Switzerland and Germany, more than deliver on their endeavour to explore the mentioned topics. The volume consists of 663 pages, within 29 chapters, ranging from epidemiology, which is specific to Romania via the PREDATORR trial results, genetics, biochemical and cellular pathogenic mechanisms of diabetic complications, and finally diabetes associated clinical conditions, from diagnosis to bedside management.
